Challenge for Charity
To celebrate Green-tech's 30th anniversary, we've decided to go BIG by challenging our team to raise £30k during 2024, for our 5 chosen charities; BALI Chalk Fund, Candlelighters, Macmillan, Shelter and Perennial.
The events the Green-tech team are taking part in are:
18 members of staff have volunteered to sleep outside in our yard from 7pm-7am, with not much more than a sleeping bag. Starting Thursday evening, the GT team are then required to work the following day in the office.
We have 22 volunteers all with different abilities, but all raring to get running . With the option to run 5k, 10k, or 21k, this team is ready to push themselves to their limits.
Previously entered by GT a few years ago, we’re ready for a comeback! 6 of our chosen employees will push a lucky team member around on the infamous ‘bed’, over a gruelling 2.4 mile course.
Not for the faint hearted. A whopping 28 GT members have put their names forward to complete this vigorous challenge by battling through mud, fire and ice!
- A Virtual Charity Bike Ride (John O'Groats to Lands End)
The staff at the GT HQ have just one working week to complete this. The team will be getting the miles in on a spin bike in the office, with a continuous rota to ensure the bike never stops! But with an average of 20mph… can we beat this challenge?
The final activity of our #30kfor30yrs challenge but by no means the easiest. In our home county of Yorkshire, 40 members of staff will be walking the 24-mile (38.6km) round trip route, which includes 1585m (5200ft) of ascent, all in one day!
This is where we ask for your help! Our team will do the hard work but we do need donations.
Please help us by donating as much or as little as you can - any amount is very much appreciated and will make a huge difference to five deserving charities.
